Emberblade Chronicles
Emberblade Chronicles blends a lightweight story with grid-based turn battles that feel at home on a phone. You build a party of four, each with a distinct role, and position them across a small battlefield before trading blows. It is approachable but has enough depth to keep tacticians happy.
The writing is charming in a low-key way, with side characters who get actual arcs instead of a single line of flavour text. Progression is generous; you rarely hit a wall that forces grinding. I appreciated that the auto-battle option exists but never feels mandatory.
If you like tactics but want something you can play in short bursts, this fits neatly in a lunch break. Just be warned that the later dungeons expect you to understand elemental counters, so pay attention to the tutorials.
