Ironhold Siege
Ironhold Siege is the game our group chat kept fighting about, and now I understand why. It takes the classic lane-based tower defence formula and layers a seasonal system on top. Enemies that freeze in winter become fast and swarming in summer, so a tower layout that saved you last map can get you killed on the next.
The upgrade tree is deep without being a spreadsheet. You unlock towers by actually using them, which nudges you to experiment instead of leaning on one favourite. Boss waves are proper tests that force you to re-read the whole board rather than just stacking more cannons.
My advice: save your hero ability for the second half of a wave, when the pack bunches up. The game rewards patience far more than panic, and that restraint is where the real strategy lives.
